DAEMON Tools Lite is a reliable application that creates virtual drives on your computer, providing you with the possiblity to emulate CDs and DVDs for instant access.DAEMON Tools works with the most popular formats, including ccd (CloneCD), bwt (Blindwrite), mds (Media Descriptor File), cdi (Discjuggler), nrg (Nero), pdi (Instant CD/DVD), b5t (BlindWrite 5), cue/bin, iso and isz. On the other hand, those of you who wish to mount image files created by Ultra ISO, Magic ISO and Power ISO won't be able to use DAEMON Tools Lite.
Installation shouldn't take more than a few seconds, although we had to spend several moments to skip the steps where the installer attempted to copy several unwanted files, such as a toolbar, and to change the homepage and search engines for web browsers installed on our computers.
The application sits quietly in the System Tray, allowing you to quickly change settings and to load image files without launching the main window.
The program can create up to 4 virtual drives, but this should be enough for the average user. In addition, it works with most CD and DVD Rom drives and has the ability to load almost any image, no matter its protection, be it Securom, Safedisc or Laselock.

DAEMON Tools Lite is a professional application designed for multiprotection emulation.
DAEMON Tools is further development of the Generic Safedisc emulator incorporating all its features. This program allows running backup copies of SafeDisc (C-Dilla), Securom or Laserlock protected games.
It emulates max. 4 DVD-ROM drives and works with CD/DVD images created by many burning programs
DAEMON Tools works with all types of CD/DVDROM drives (IDE/SCSI) and supports nearly any CD protection.
· DAEMON Tools needs a 1:1 Copy to run!!
· DAEMON Tools is used to RUN GAMES, NOT TO BURN THEM!!! Means emulation must be active while you want to play a game, not while burning the copy (except for you want to use DAEMON Tools' "fastdump" feature on a safedisc protected CD).
· If you want to run a copy protected application from an image mounted to a Generic DVD-ROM enabling the copy protection emulation(s) is NOT necessary!!
· Generic DVD-ROM is able to run nearly every protected or unprotected CD image (Safedisc, Securom, Laserlock, Lockblocks etc.) like it was the original CD! Just do an image file using one of the supported burning programs and mount it with Daemon Manager!
